No...and sad thing is with Ray being so damn clever with computers I ALWAYS ask him first...

This time I thought...I would show initiative and do it on my own...like I say a bit like updating Adobe Flash ..

Yeah yeah yeah ...be lucky if I turn this laptop on again :lmao :lmao

Point taken.

Just to update (particularly for Kev who was worried earlier as he had a similar invite re Java). It took Ray a couple of hours to work his magic to get laptop

back on track. All the nasty stuff that was found on computer was 'snapdo' related (Excuse my basic speak re 'nasty stuff' it is hard to remember what he said he

found) I know there was talk of malaware/spyware and virus's

My latest version of Firefox had been corrupted. All removed and re-installed...and appropriate action taken with scanning etc to clean up and remove the culprits

From my point of view as the user of the computer it is now working fine and is back to normal.

Thanks to everyone who offered help and advice during the time Ray was absent. (and thank god he didn't have to work late!)

Good to see it's been resolved now and a good lesson for everyone to be learnt here.
I'll lock the thread now it's reached conclusion but if anyone else has any problems with this malware, please feel free to start a new thread.
