This article was enlightening....for instance I personally haven't owned a 'Hoover' for years (Dyson is my vacuum cleaner of choice) but I am never heard to say
Get out of the way... I am going to Dyson the carpets...

I was aware of the infighting from Bayer about Aspirin but was never too concerned about that....its not the drug, more what it contains.
You could have 'Panadol' making the same claim for its 'brand name....but I have NO intention of paying £2.00 for a pack of Panadol when I get Asda Paracetamol for 16p

Pharmacies world wide trade on Pharmaceutical names...not 'Trade' names. In this day and age, with budget constraints, they will go for the cheapest option as long as the tablet contains the correct drug.
