Getting a MAC Code

PostPosted by Gillsfankev » Mon Jun 02, 2014 10:04 am

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I'm trying to get BB on our office line however the previous tennants were with TT and we are with BT.

TT have still got a flag on the line and BT can't switch it over. TT are refusing to give me a MAC Code because the TT account is in the previous companies name and we can't get hold of them anymore.

Any advice??

Get BT to contact TT.

BT are responsible as they are the incoming provider......if they say differently refer them to OFCOM guidance

Just tell BT there is no argument, it is their responsibility to sort it out as they are the gaining provider.

You need to be forceful with them as they know not all customers are aware of the OFCOM guidance to the industry....the guidance isn't optional....it's part of the regulations.

the issue is apparently theprevious tennant has still got the account active so TT cannot remove the flag until they cancel the account.

Yep!

Apparently they have been paying it for 5 years in this office prior to us taking it over and they didn't even know they had BB here!!!

So they must be still trading therefore traceable.

Might be quicker to get a new line installed with a new number and disconnect the old one.....that'll bugger up TT because their broadband will be on a dead connection.

I've found them now. They are as you say still trading but the line is in a directors personal name who no longer lives in the country!!!

The plot thickens!!
