Uploading pictures

Uploading pictures..via PC not phone...and problems getting the right size (when uploaded)

I have to ask this because it is driving me mad if honest... I have NO problems finding pictures on PC...saving pictures on PC... and normally no problem when I upload
I always use Liquids guide here: topic190.html#p3346

Soooo.... using postimage.org as the image hosting site...and always selecting 640x480 for message boards (as instructed) ...away I go...
And therein lies the problem.....
SOMETIMES the image when posted, is the wrong size (either too big or too small). It doesn't matter how many times I go back and try to resize it via postimage
it remains the same....???

Two things that further frustrate me...
1) How does MI5 come along and with the flick of something RESIZE my picture??
2) Why does this problem not exist on the 'other' forum? (whatever I upload there is absolutely the right size)

Any advice will, as ever, be gratefully received :halo

Have I to do another thing (from that link)...after I upload to Postimage :facepalm

I normally use the 800 x 600 option :

This, by the way, is a photo of an arum lily in my garden that flowered for the first time this year......I planted it about 6 years ago !!

Lovely Lily O2M2...

With SOME photos that I take, I rarely have a problem resizing.
Its more to do with Images I download/upload from Google to save in my picture file...(So I wondered whether these images were actually a pre-set size?)
Also another example.....
The screenshots I took of my phone home screen? On this forum..small and scritty...on t'other forum same screenshot used and absolutely the right size??

O2M2 is dealing with it - It gets too confusing if everyone chips in, but I am in full agreement (not that I am a laptop expert by any means) :lmao
