KNOX 0x1

KNOX 0x1

Is there any way of reseting this?

I was in a 4g area earlier but couldn't pick it up.

Checked 4g tariff and sim all ok. 4g enabled on network settings.

Tried o2 4g setup and it said all good except latest firmware. I've checked with sammobile and it appears I have the latest firmware.

When I check with software update it days device has been modified and it appears I've tripped knox.

Help?

It appears there no known way to reset knox yet but there is a bounty on xda working on it. If its possible (ie not a fuse) then they'll work it out.

Samsung appears to have seen their mistake and plan on cancelling it;

Although no idea on date the next update may not be an issue.

Does knox prevent 4g connection?

It would be really unfortunate to drop it/lose it "accidentally" and claim on insurance. I assume it would be a straight swap without checking firmware.

As the gaffer says, no cure as yet, however, it doesn't prevent 4G or any other aspect of the phone from working, so that's not the reason for your lack of 4G....
The Know fuse will trip if you flash a firmware lower than was on the phone from factory = Going up in release levels is OK but coming down will trip it.

Cheers guys.

That's weird then because I've only ever flashed 4.4.2.
Must have been earlier releases.

Yes, for O2 firmware.

Hmmmm. Winner why no 4g then.

Would baseband have anything to do with it or kernel?

Have you flashed anything separately or just ROM's as a whole package?
The only thing that may effect 4G is the baseband but unless you have specifically flashed something unique they should all enable 4G fine.
If you can turn on 4G in network settings, then you have it set up correctly phone side....
