My review of IPhone 5c: hands on

Apple iPhone 5c 8gb

What's in the box

iPhone 5c 8gb
Lightening pin connector charger
Headphones
Sim tool

This will be a comprehensive hands on review of the iPhone 5c 8gb version, you can purchase this phone from free-£129.99 on contract &'around £390 SIM free.

What you notice first when you purchase the phone is that Apple have redesigned their packaging, gone is the cardboard box with the colour scheme of the iPhone you have chosen which had been a hallmark since the iPhone was introduced back in 2007, Apples new packaging is a hard plastic material, with a white cardboard inner which houses the phone & the accessories included with a clear lid showcasing the iPhone sitting in the package nicely. The iPhone 5c is a big change from previous years in that the phone is inside a hard plastic poly material instead of a premium metal like the iPhones before it. The iPhone 5c is available in 5 different colours, blue, white, pink, yellow & green, all bright vibrant colours.

As the iPhone 5 before introduced it, Apple has retained the new 30 pin lightning connector design for its charger which fits nice & tightly & not dust or anything should be able to get inside the device. Alongside the connector you get Apples ever famous earphones that never stay in your ears.

The device itself

It is the same size & shape as the iPhone 5 & fits nicely in your hand, it has a nice glossy finish, feels like an expensive piece of hardware as you would expect, no cheap feeling here. The retina screen is very vibrant, clean, very clear & easy to read or view. The headphone jack is now at the bottom of the phone situated next to the connector & single speaker.

Call quality is very clear, not muffled, you can hear the other person without any noise interference on each side.
The A6 chip is the same chip that was in the iPhone 5 last year which is very fast & not sluggish.
Battery life is very good, well improved since the iPhone 4S

iOS 7 runs very smoothly on the iPhone 5c

It's the iPhone 5 but repackaged a in a plastic coloured housing which is a nice change.

Pros

Nice colours,
Good battery life
Smooth operation.
Big screen

Cons, it's the iPhone 5 with a splash of colour
Not enough memory but you can have iCloud as a back up

It's the iPhone 5 in a plastic coloured housing, overall I have been very impressed with this phone, I'd choose the iPhone 5c over the iPhone 5s

Thanks for reading

Oh yes much better than the deal I was actually going for, the deal I was looking at was iPhone 5c on O2 refresh 500 min, unlimited texts, 500mb a month, 129.99 up front cost, but when I got to the shop it was £25 a month, same amount if min, text, data I was after but no upfront cost for the phone, recycled my old phone at same time, got £108 for it which is credited to my account
