So, to conclude this thread....
As my parents pay line rental and BT Sport 12 months upfront and the change to add BB meant that BTSport was now free, the total price to change for the next 12 months was -£98.62.
Father is happy and router has arrived this morning so off over to set it all up later for him :ooyh

Glad to hear you were able to sort it all out for your parents. That sounds like a pretty good deal.

My journey with Virgin Media begins this coming Thursday. Should be interesting. I'm looking forward to my really fast broadband. Only thing I'm going to miss is Sky Atlantic.

That's the channel I want too. Virgin see it as a must have so will keep trying to get sky to sell them access. Just hope it doesn't take "too" long

I think it will be some time before Sky gives them access. It's their only ace in the hole to keep customers with them. Sky can't match Virgin's broadband speeds, and Virgin has all the other sport channels including BT Sports. Sky Atlantic is all they have exclusivity on. If they gave access to Virgin it would start a price war, which I'm sure neither company would want.
