What smartphone would you want this year from the usual manufacturers?

iPhone 7/6S as the rumoured title calls it due to be released late September as usual

Sony Z4

HTC One M9

Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge

Discuss below

I personally will go with the next iPhone but depending on if it's better than the 6 & 6 Plus then I may look at the S6

If you want iPhone 7 you may as well just buy a Samsung S4 or Sony Z1 and save yourself £800 :ooyh
S6 and probably Note 5 for me :dance

S3 i9305, Rooted, CM 12.1, Lycamobile.
Xperia Z5 Dual Sim, EE & O2.
Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet LTE, Three.

Why anyone would consider an iPhone now the S6 is released is beyond me, theyre identical looks wise and i doubt apple will jump from 750p to 1440p and chuck in 3gb, even the Galaxy s3 was better specced.

I was tempted with the s4 when I went for my last upgrade but what put me off was all the battery issues my missus & other friends have had with it but when it comes to my next upgrade I'll look at my options. Definitly don't want a 6 or 6 Plus, be too scared to use it incase it bends

I would happily have a Sony Z4, or a Samsung Galaxy S6.

I think the Edge will definitely be priced out of my budget.

I loved my HTC One X but have have reservations on the design of the M9 (as Mr Moulsher does).

It will all depend on the best deals come November

I'm reserving judgement until I've handled the latest offerings - except for the iGroan, obviously :whistle
Definitely between the M9 (which I'm starting to warm to having read numerous 'hands-on' quick reviews) and the S6 (don't like the glass back, and it's visually very similar to the iGroan) at the moment, may wait for the Z4 ........

As Mr park has said, it'll be when the best deals come around towards the end of the year

The more I look into it my initial dislike of the lack of immediate visual difference between the M8 and M9 is softening, it's looking to me now like the latest design is a mix of the better aspects of the M7/M8 combined, and there are clearly hardware improvements across the board - my decision will depend on 'hands-on' comparison with the S6 (NOT the edge) and the Z4
