Amazon Fire Phone

Amazon Fire Phone

PostPosted by phillpark » Thu Jun 25, 2015 9:44 am

I Just went into Amazon, and they are flogging the Fire Phone (handset only) at £99 for either the 32Gb or 64Gb version.

This got me thinking: If you get free Amazon Prime (delivery and streaming services) with a Fire Phone, that normally costs £79 by itself.

I thought 'hold on, that means you could effectively get the 64Gb Fir e Phone for £20, and then flog it for a tidy profit!' Imagine my disappointment when I look at numerous mobile recycling sites, and half if them don't even recognise what the phone is, and the highest offer I managed to find was £26! So that phone Amazon are saying has a £379 price tag normally (64Gb version), is only worth £26 second hand!

I have abandoned my money making scheme! :?

It's due to the fact that the phone is complete and utter shite

So Amazon have created a battery powered poo? Now THAT'S what I call innovation!

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't thinking of getting one, just thought it was amusing that something theybclaim is worth £380 has a recycling value of a case of beer, even whilst it's still a current model.

What's funnier is that anyone who bought it from o2 on release, still has more than the price of this to pay.
I believe our general concensus was "its not a 300 quid phone, should be 99 sim free and unlocked"
