other icons have & there is one slot left for a tile

Maybe the tile is too large, have you tried resizing it?

Brace yourself pdmoulsher ;)
How do I resize a tile
currently the calendar icon is the only one which will not become a tile on my home page
the size of the icon is the same size as the tile space
I use the calendar facility a lot as I have given up paper diary & pen
thank you

Calendar tile is a default home page tile so unless you have removed it, it will already be there.
