Email issues

PostPosted by Cleoriff » Thu Nov 12, 2015 10:56 am

Right....I am posting here in the hope I can get some help

It's about the email issues I am having (from O2forum only)
*I have not received one since 9th November. ...They have just stopped coming in.
*I am getting emails from every other site (so it can't be a problem with my emails)
* This is the same on my PC, Tablet, Mobile
*I am with BT Internet. (which I have been told ages ago has an issue with Lithium)

On Laptop I use Outlook (and Bt Yahoo Mail when abroad) Running Windows 7 and Firefox 42.0
Tablet and Phone uses Chrome (same bt internet email address)

I know this email issue may not be a problem for some... but it is for me. I invariably access the forum from the last email notification I get from any topic I am subscribed to....
Now, unless I log on I am unable to see anything from O2..I have no idea if I have a PM...or been mentioned , got a solution etc etc etc.

To add..I have NO problems with emails from here or any other site I subscribe to
One solution I have been offered... is to change to Gmail.....
What a nightmare that would be......
1) Either change to a gmail address for EVERY site I use (just because I cant get emails from O2)
2) Change for O2 only...then am constantly bobbing about from one email site to another... :idk

I knew you would say that Rich. :lol
FYI I have a Gmail account...never use it...
Would it work on a laptop? (Sorry to appear dumb) but I don't currently have it on here as I don't set up the laptops thank god...
On phone and tablet though...

Oh, and you can just change your contact email address in your My O2 which won't change anything else.

If it's a known BT + Lithium issue you are best off doing that.

So if I set up my gmail account on laptop just for O2....will emails come in that I have missed for 4 days?
Also I expect if I go into my O2 to change email address..it will need the gmail password which I have forgotten..... :arse

You'll need your gmail password to set it up so you need to remember it or reset it.
You won't get any emails sent (or not) to the old address - just the new ones that come in after you change it.
