Is Windows 10 C**p?

PostPosted by WispaRed7 » Mon Feb 01, 2016 12:20 am

Without much thought on 17 January 2016 I opted for the freebie download of Windows 10 ... I've been told by a friend that I have one month to uninstall it ... now the thought of uninstalling it is playing havoc with my 'little grey cells' ... = ... me being a tech novice ... there is a place in town I can go to & the very nice chap there I reckon would do it for me
I use my laptop for: emails + facebook + online shopping + general internet browsing + typing up letters to post to friends / family whom I do not have an email address for, that's about it really
Before I had Windows 7 Home Premium & was quite happy with it
An old proverb comes to mind ... Look Before You Leap ... :facepalm
Any help / opinions would be much appreciated

If you want to go back it's easy.
Click on the Windows button bottom left of the screen
Click on settings
Click on Update & Security

Click on Recovery and you will see the option to go back to Windows 7 or 8

Then just click on Get Started, put your reason for going back and then go make yourself a cup of tea whilst the PC does it's thing. It takes around 30 minutes and you won't lose anything and your settings will be just as they were.
I'm leaving now to go find myself....if I arrive before I get back, please ask me to wait!

It's not just havoc on your grey cells jane, I hate it with a passion. Anything after Windows 7 is poor imo

Jane ..it really is as simple as Jonsie has shown above (with pictures)

My husband updated his laptop to Win 10...had a few problems and rolled back within seconds.
He has actually updated again and has stuck with it this time

I have two laptops and they both run Win 7. I wont update either of them if I can help it.
My 16 year old grandson on the other hand, had a Win 10 laptop at Christmas and took to it like a duck to water.

All to do with youth I expect.. :halo

We did actually advise against updating if I remember. I had huge problems with one laptop losing wifi and being unable to get internet even with an ethernet cable. Tried all sorts with different drivers and rolled back and forth between Windows 10 and Windows 7 like a man in bed with two women. Left it with Windows 7 when I went to Thailand and decided to upgrade again when I came back. Sod's law and HP must have updated the drivers because it connected to the internet straight away.
So both laptops run 10 now and I'm used to the system now. I'll have to be....the 30 day period has long gone :lol

What's up with it ?
Grammar. The difference between knowing your shit and knowing you're shit.
S3 i9305, Rooted, CM 12.1, Lycamobile.
Xperia Z5 Dual Sim, EE & O2.
Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet LTE, Three.

Works fine on my Surface Pro, I find that if you think of it as a big smartphone it's easier to get along with :ugeek:
The only way is Android!

Fair point, it certainly seems to be designed with tablets/phones in mind
