Internet/PC issues

PostPosted by Cleoriff » Fri Oct 28, 2016 11:17 am

Just to say since I have been back from Spain I am having real problems with staying online on my PC...(Old one left in Spain worked perfectly...so am using new one bought in July)
I thought yesterday it was just the other forum running slow...but it got worse later on. I keep getting the 'connecting, connecting issue and it doesn't connect. No matter what site I use, it appears to be working ok for 15 minutes then wham....go slow and stop.

Thus happens here, FB, Amazon, Ebay, Asda, O2 etc etc etc
My default browser is FF
I also have Chrome and Edge and it happens the same whichever I use.
Running Win 10.

I have done the usual
Rebooted router ...(which is always showing a good connection anyway)
Checked BT Broadband and no issues reported.

My PHONE works perfectly over wifi...and if I switch off WiFi and use 4G all works well and quickly.

I would say logically it's a PC issue..UNTIL I tell you it is happening with Rays PC as well.

The only way I get connected when it goes down is if I restart PC...
Any ideas are welcome. :crazy

Have you tried with a cable?
If ethernet cable ok, then it's 100% a WiFi issue (doesn't matter if it shows good connection if it's dropping packets all over the place)

Also, your phone may be connected to 2.4ghz, the pc's 5ghz or visa versa so one stream may be fine.
