For those interested... BBC 1 are showing a special programme tonight at 10pm. A concert by George filmed in 2012.
Just to add, people who feel he had a scandalous lifestyle.....Not really ..it was just well publicised.
When you compare the excesses of others, particularly those groups of the 60's... he was a novice.
Yes he had his own demons which he fought constantly....although he was never afraid to poke fun at himself.

Like it or not he WAS a global superstar. The news today is proof of that.

He also did more for charity than anyone else I know. Some is only being revealed today.
He had millions and gave substantial amounts to charity. He worked tirelessly for the homeless (in person as a volunteer) .
He has helped countless children as a result of his donations to Childline and also supported other organisations including the Terrence Higgins Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support.

A caring generous man. Loved by millions He will be missed.

Brian May from Queen said this...

"I don't have the words.

This year has cruelly taken so many fine people way too young.

And George?

That gentle boy?

All that beautiful talent?

Can't begin to compute this.

RIP George.

Sing with Freddie. And the Angels."
