Data Not Working?

If your internet stops working on your iPhone you can try these steps:

1.) Make sure that you actually have data left! You can check this by downloading the MYO2 application or going to wap.o2.co.uk and clicking My O2

2.) If you have data left, make sure you are in an area with 3G signal coverage. You can check at status.o2.co.uk

3.) If you are, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will turn the phone off and it comes back on in about 30 seconds. Don't worry, nothing is deleted except your WiFi passwords.

4.) If you still have data issues, ensure that you have the correct APN settings installed. If you check in MYO2 it should show you what type of internet bolton you have; It will either say, for example, "500Mb Data" or "500Mb Data for iPhone".

If it says for iPhone then you need to go to Settings > General > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network (or Cellular Data Network) and make sure that the APN box at the top says idata.o2.co.uk

If it doesn't say for iPhone, and you are on Pay Monthly, then you need to go to Settings > General > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network (or Cellular Data Network) and make sure the APN box at the top says mobile.o2.co.uk.
(It also helps to make sure the MMS APN box further down says wap.o2.co.uk)

If it doesn't say for iPhone, and you are on Pay As You Go, then you need to go to Settings > General > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network (or Cellular Data Network) and make sure the APN box at the top says payasyougo.o2.co.uk

5.) If you still have issues after this, contact O2 to discuss this.
